Norpro Danish Aebleskiver Panby Norpro (3114) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() | | customer review: When I fist saw the pan, it looked tiny. The Danes I know who've made aebleskiver for decades thought small too. But it works great! There's not any space wasted and you can cook all you want on a small burner as a result. Great product, great innovation. | Reco International Classic Romertopf 14 Pounds Clay Bakerby Reco International (01132) ![]() $49.99 customer review: I've had this roaster for over a year now, and I love it. I've cooked roast beef, turkey breasts and roast chicken in it, and every single time it comes out perfect. The meat is always moist and hardly needs a butter knife to be cut. The chicken and turkey especially are so moist that I wouldn't consider cooking them any other way. I did a pot roast last night in it. I forgot to set the timer, so my beef ended up more done (we usually like it rare), but it was still tender and full of flavor. | Pyrex Bakeware 2-Quart Casserole Dish with Lidby Pyrex (6001024) ![]() customer review: Nothing much to say about this except that is a well known brand and arrived in perfect condition to my door, is safe to use in the microwave and oven | HIC Porcelain 4-Ounce Souffle Dish, Set of Sixby HIC Porcelain (98004-6) ![]() customer review: These ramekins are nice and simple. I've made souffles in them and it worked beautifully. The size is also nice for dessert items or for cooking prep. I think they are made in China but will check on that again.
| The shipping is silly. I bought two sets and one set was packed securely in its original compartmentalized box and the other set was individually packed in bubble wrap bags then loosely put in a large box. The second set arrived with big chips in the ramekins. Amazon sent a replacement that also had chips but I was able to pick out six good ones out of the two sets. Seems to be a bit of a waste. CorningWare French White 2-1/2-Quart Round Casserole Dish with Glass Coverby CorningWare (French White) ![]() $16.99 customer review: It arrived quickly and intact. The lid seems fine although it's not a tight fit it works fine. A very pretty dish, it serves my purposes well. I intend to buy more in different sizes to round out my serving collection. I can't afford a more expensive crockery serving set and the French White Corelle serving dishes are both pretty and inexpensive. | Pinzon by Caleca Chili Peppers Medium Oval Baking Dishby Amazon (353/537) Le Creuset Stoneware Petite Pear Casseroleby Le Creuset (PG5105-06108) ![]() $34.99 customer review: Make sure to note that it is a 12oz container, so it is not meant for baking larger casseroles etc. It is very convenient to hold sugar, flour etc. Also note that this particular product is actually manufactured in Thailand. | Pyrex Bakeware 1-1/2-Quart Casserole Dish with Lidby Pyrex (6001023) ![]() $8.05 customer review: the last pyrex dish we recieved over 25 years ago,was fron an empty apartment abandoned by its owner. its age unknown we used it till it finally broke may of 08. so now we own a 2 quart and a 1.5 quart so it should last thru my 24 year olds family or at least the next 20 years. good job pyrex for making a real good product. | Lodge Enameled Cast-Iron 3-Quart Covered Casserole, Caribbean Blueby Lodge (EC3CC33) ![]() customer review: This is a quality beautiful product. Braising with this Dutch oven opens up a new world of cooking. Get the cookbook on braising by Molly Stevens and get ready to take some bows. It doubles as a serving dish. It's heavy but that's what makes it work. Buy this and the 5 qt. size. Also you will need the buffet casserole. Best $150 you will spend. It's a kitchen workhorse. | Pyrex Bakeware 4.8 Quart Oblong Baking Dish, Clearby pyrex (6001040) ![]() customer review: This dish is great. Very durable and big. Adorned with a classic hand-painted dot pattern on a fun range of mix and match colors. | Nordic Ware Compact Oven 1-1/2-Quart Casserole Panby Nordic Ware (42010) ![]() $7 customer review: It's the right size and I wish more bakeware companies made these smaller sizes because the "normal" size pans don't fit in our convection oven and we can't use glass or that plastic stuff. It's hard to find smaller size metal bakeware. But this one, and all the others with a non-stick surface, become useless after 2 or 3 uses--the non-stick surface starts to flake off (onto the food cooked in it) which is not healthy for you. And we don't have a dishwasher so it can't be blamed on that machine. We use the teflon-friendly utensils etc. but the stuff still flakes off. The manufacturers ought to just give up on the non-stick stuff and let us have plain ol' stainless steel--at least it's tough and can withstand scouring when needed, you can use Oven-off on badly burned crusty stuff, you can soak it in an ammonia-baking soda solution to lift off cooked-on food; you can still use the pan. These non-stick pans just start losing their non-stick surface within 2 or 3 uses, and the non-stick stuff is stuck to your food! Not good, not good, not good. | Le Creuset Stoneware Petite Blueberry Casseroleby Le Creuset (PG5101-1032) ![]() $34.99 customer review: This is a very cute petite casserole. I got this on sale for about $16 the other day and am happy with it. (I will explain why I gave it only 3 stars)
| I have not used it just yet, but I will probably make some personal size desserts for my husband and he'll love it! As others have mentioned, it is made in Thailand. I have not seen ones that are made in France so I have nothing to compare it with, but I've purchased Le Creuset remekins that are from Thailand and I believe they are genuine. The color is not solid blue as shown in the picture, but still cute. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because of the weight of it. To be honest, if not because of the sale and the 4 for 3 promotion, I don't think I will purchase this item at this price. It is cute, but the stoneware itself does not feel very solid. I don't think I will put it to the test but its light weight (not super light but just not very heavy) makes me feel that it could chip off or crack from minor accidents in the kitchen. (For those of you who may have already put it to the test, I'd love to hear how your blueberry performed.) I purchased this mainly for its look so I have no complain. The 3 stars is for general reference in case you want a really sturdy item out of it. I uploaded a few pictures of it under the product picture in case you want to see the color and size. CorningWare SimplyLite 1-1/2-Quart Casserole with Glass and Plastic Lidsby CorningWare (1078890) $34.99 customer review: THIS PRODUCT CAN ONLY GO IN AN OVEN UP TO 350 DEGREES.
| It says this on the product label but Amazon fails to mention this in the product detail. Very important information that people should be aware of before purchasing this product. Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Lasagna Pan 7117-14by Cuisinart (7117-14) ![]() customer review: The pan looked great and is nice and heavy; however, exactly like another reviewer said, there is an unsealed seam in the bottom of the pan that gives off black stuff even after multiple washings. I was very disappointed. HOWEVER, Amazon was GREAT - very fast shipping, plus they paid return shipping because the item was defective. | CorningWare French White 2 Piece 4-Quart Covered Oval Roasterby CorningWare (French White) ![]() $29.28 customer review: This is a good-sized dish that cooks food very well. However, it is REALLY REALLY hard to clean! Especially the lid. You have to scrub the heck out of the thing! | Pinzon by Caleca Petali Medium Oval Baking Dishby Caleca (353/605) ![]() Anolon Suregrip Bakeware 2-Piece Meat Loaf Pan Setby Anolon (52336) ![]() customer review: This meatloaf pan is great! The two piece design allows for all of the grease from the meat to drip through the liner into the bottom pan. The meatloaf didn't taste dry at all which I thought might be a problem but it wasn't. The suregrip handles do not get hot in the oven and clean-up is a breeze. I would highly recommend this pan for those wanting to cut out unnecessary calories and fat from their diet. The bottom pan can also be used to bake breads so it isn't just a one-use pan. | Sassafras La Cloche Brick Ovenby Sassafras (1005) ![]() customer review: Mine was adequately packed... maybe Amazon is listening to the reviews?
| I'll never try to cook crusty breads without a Cloche again, it makes a huge difference. Huge. Instead of a pale and bland loaf, I get a crisp crust with lots of color and tons of flavor. Contrary to the directions, I preheat my oven and Cloche for 30 minutes at 475 degrees. I prove my dough on round pieces of parchment paper, so after slashing, its easy to transfer the dough to the Cloche and put the lid on. I bake for 15 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for 17 more minutes. I'm at high altitude so your numbers may vary, but they shouldn't be too far off - this is for a loaf with 500 g flour and a 65% hydration. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
