Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick Perforated Baguette Panby Chicago Metallic (69609) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() | | customer review: I have been impressed with Chicago Metallic's baking equipment, so when it came time to get a baguette pan this was right where I went. Their pans are nice and sturdy, and you will get years of use out of them.
| The perforated holes on the bottom make for a crispy crust and give a nice pattern and texture as well. I have never had a problem with the loaf sticking to the pan, or any other problems for that matter. I don't oil the surface as some have recommended, which has worked out just fine. I also love the fact that you can bake three baguettes simultaneously which saves time. A nice companion to the baguette pan is the French Bread Pan, which is similar in construction but larger for bigger loaves. Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick Perforated French Bread Panby Chicago Metallic (69610) ![]() customer review: using these pans produces a loaf that is brown, crusty all around, with those little bumps you typically associate with commercial artisanal long loaves. i use floured canvas to shape the loaves and to place them on the bread pan. with 2 pans (4 loaves) you will be able to accommodate a typical recipe that starts with 3.5 cups of flour.
| these loaves are a little larger than the other pan offered, producing loaves up to 3.5" in diameter and up to 16" long. they fit in my smallish oven that, regrettably, cannot fit a standard half-sheet pan. using a pizza stone in the oven brings an even heat difficult to get any other way. i recommend the All-Clad Pizza Baker/Stone because it has a frame that prevents breakage and a stone that holds heat (also necessary for a really good focaccia at 550 degrees). bon appetit. 5 stars. Baker's Secret Basics Nonstick Petite Loaf Panby Baker's Secret (116472302) ![]() customer review: The size is great, and I love being able to make mini-loaves. However, the non-stick coating has just started flaking off my SECOND set of these pans. I use them about every second week, they've never been in the dishwasher and each pan lasted about 2 years before peeling.
| Non-stick is great until you discover the banana bread you've been feeding your toddler has pretty silver flakes all over it... I'll look for some other brand for the third set. Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Bakeware 9-Inch Loaf Panby Cuisinart (AMB-9LP) ![]() customer review: My biggest disappointment is that this pan scratches and rusts. I would recomment trying the Chicago Metallic loaf pans. | Chicago Metallic Commercial 1-1/2-Pound Loaf Panby Chicago Metallic (77091) ![]() customer review: I bought a pair of these pans a few years ago, and I just love them. They are so nice and heavy and produce a lovely crust. They must be handwashed, but they come clean very easily without a lot of elbow grease. I'm planning to start baking most or all of our family bread, so I'm now looking to buy additional pans. I think these will last my lifetime, and possible well beyond. These are definitely a good investment, and an excellent value at this price. | Slice Solutions 9-Inch Divided Loaf Pan Setby Xtraordinary Home Products (X50614) ![]() Nordic Ware Scottish Scone/Cornbread Panby Nordic Ware (01640) ![]() customer review: I use the scone pan for corn bread. If my wife and I use a standard corn bread pan, it is too much, or if less mix is used, the corn bread is too thin. The compartments work just right to bake a serving with a little left over for later. I thought the pan was not enough like the cast iron one I have used, but the compartments give just the right crust all around each serving. | Amco Food Service Pullman Panby Amco Food Service (904615) ![]() customer review: I bought this pan & lid because another reviewer said the lid was easily removed. If that's correct I got a defective pan and/or lid. Haven't used it yet, but my recipe requires removing the lid and returning the pan to the oven. I don't think I'll be able to do that, but tomorrow's the test. | Chicago Metallic Commercial 12-1/4-by-9-Inch Small Jelly Roll Panby Chicago Metallic (77129) customer review: Recently I purchased the Commercial non-treated 10 x 15 Jelly Roll Pans. My son lives in an apartment with a small stove/oven and needed something like mine for baking meatballs to cookies. Other pans just didn't work for him. My 12 x 18 jelly roll pans were purchased in 1969 and well seasoned now...they are as dark as they can get and bake my breads and cookies to perfection. I can't do without them! | Anolon Suregrip Bakeware 2-Piece Meat Loaf Pan Setby Anolon (52336) ![]() customer review: This meatloaf pan is great! The two piece design allows for all of the grease from the meat to drip through the liner into the bottom pan. The meatloaf didn't taste dry at all which I thought might be a problem but it wasn't. The suregrip handles do not get hot in the oven and clean-up is a breeze. I would highly recommend this pan for those wanting to cut out unnecessary calories and fat from their diet. The bottom pan can also be used to bake breads so it isn't just a one-use pan. | Le Creuset Stoneware Deep-Dish Loaf Pan, Redby Le Creuset (PG1046-2867) ![]() customer review: I bake alot of homemade bread. I prefer the bottom as wide as the top, but these make a delicious loaf of yeast bread. Nice, crisp crust and tender in the middle. I haven't tried them for banana or other sweet breads yet, but the size and shape are perfect.
| Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 1-Pound Loaf Panby Chicago Metallic (60042) ![]() customer review: Love them! They cook perfectly, wash beautifully and are just sooo well made. They could charge more and I'd buy them all over again. | Sante Cabin Kitchen Cast Iron Bread Panby Sante (CIBP9) ![]() $18.99 customer review: I make my own bread for my family and have used many bread pans but this one is the best. I only have one of the cast iron bread pans so when I make more than one loaf I still have to use my old pans. I have both aluminum -which is terrible and a stainless steel. The loaf in the cast iron has a much higher more even rise. I don't know the physics behind this but I am going to be getting another of these pans. It also has a really nice solid feel and is very easy to clean. Just slather it up with oil (I use extra virgin coconut oil - since it has so much saturated fat and doesn't easily go rancid it seasons the pan really well) before I put the bread in and it comes out clean with no mess. If you are looking to invest in a great bread pan that will last a long time, this is the one for you. I am seriously considering a cast iron muffin pan now since this one has been so great. | Wilton Aluminum 9-Cavity Petite Loaf Panby Wilton Industries Inc. (2105-8466) ![]() $11.99 customer review: This pan can save a lot of time (and money) if you want to bake mini dessert breads (pumpkin, banana, even brownies) to give away for gifts. I bought two. Baking goodies for Christmas to give to work friends, teachers, or church friends is economical, thoughtful gift-giving. Mini dessert breads are also good for party favors, Valentine's Day, tea parties, or children's birthday parties! This pan works well if you THOROUGHLY grease it with margarine. I use saran wrap to grease soft margarine in the nine cavities of the pan to ensure easy release of the baked mini breads. But it is a pain in the a-- to wash afterwards. But the mini breads are great to give as gifts, maybe with a box of tea bags or a bag of special coffee even. | Norpro Stainless Steel Loaf Bread Panby Norpro (3849) ![]() customer review: This item is exactly what I expected. I make bread for our family using fresh-ground wheat flour (Nutrimill). We were using a silicon loaf pan and a Pirex loaf pan, and I definitely prefer the Norpro pan. The size and shape are on the money, and the polished finish is great. After several months of use, I have to say that every loaf has come out perfect. The pans are sturdy and should last indefinitely. | Chicago Metallic Duncan Hines Mini Loaf Panby Chicago Metallic (28040) ![]() customer review: I purchased three of these pans during Amazon's 3-for-2 sale. I love them! The coating is great, they bake very evenly, and they are super easy to clean up. The size is perfect for two people as well as for gifts. I highly recommend them! | Farberware Bakeware 9-by-5-Inch Loaf Panby Farberware (52105) ![]() $12 customer review: Almost all of my bakeware is Farberware and I especially enjoy the larger loaf pans. I make a lot of quick breads and appreciate the end results and easy clean-up. | Norpro 2 Piece Nonstick Meatloaf Bread Pan Setby Norpro (4672) customer review: We gave this pan as a gift because we like ours so much.
| It's a great reason to have meatloaf - the grease drains away and cleanup is easy. Lodge Logic Cornstick Panby Lodge Logic (L27C3) ![]() customer review: I don't use this product very often but when I do I am guaranteed to get great corn sticks every time!
