![]() | | customer review: I agree with the comments about the cheap design. I was baking cookies with my daughters and after the second sheet of cookies the collar on the bottom snapped right off. This was my 3rd time using this press and I've used others in the past so I know I wasn't doing anything wrong - it's just a poor design. The collar should be made of metal to prevent this from happening. It was quite a disapointment for my girls after all of that measuring and mixing (for a double batch) to have it break when we'd just gotten started. I highly recommend going with a more substantial press to avoid experiencing the same dissapointment. | Norpro 3301 Cookie Pressby Norpro (3301) ![]() customer review: I received this just in time to make Christmas cookies, and was disappointed in its construction. The tube is stainless steel, but the plunger, as well as the top, is plastic. The couplings and the dies are aluminum. The press itself is somewhat clumsy to use. I still have yet to find a comfortable way to hold it while pressing out the dough. The amount of dough that the tube holds might cover the cookie sheet, but even on the one-click setting I didn't have a full sheet.
| I had retired my grandmother's cookie press because it was aluminum and I didn't like the discoloration of the dough. I thought I had found the answer with this stainless steel model, but not so. I will continue to search for a better press. Wilton Holiday Grippy Cutters Set of 4by Wilton (2311-260) customer review: At last, a cookie cutter that cuts that you can also hold onto. Rolling cookies is great fun in theory, but tiring for a lot of reasons.
| One of them is that cookie cutters don't always cut well and they stick to the dough. This cutter has a nice sharp blade and you can get the dough out easily. The other is holding onto that cutter through multiple cuts. I interited a great set of cutters from my Mom (aka the Cookie Lady) but they had little tiny handles on top and they were hard to handle. These have a nice grip all around the outer edge and they're just not going to slip out of your hand. The third is keeping people from stealing your cookies before they're baked, or frosted, or delivered to the actual recipient. As soon as I find a good cookie burglar alarm, I'll let you know. Rebecca Kyle, November 2008 Wilton Cookie Pro Ultra II Cookie Pressby Wilton (2104-4018) ![]() customer review: After just a few uses one of the plastic disks cracked and was unusable. Very disappointing | Wilton Cookie Master Plus Cookie Pressby Wilton (2104-4008) ![]() customer review: Had a manual press and top flew off each time I pressed out a cookie so upgraded to an electric one. What a mistake. The thing had no power, took forever to reverse and the cookies were teeny. It took me two hours to get little tiny cookies. I'll look for a good quality hand press next time.
