KitchenAid KB3SS 3-Quart Stainless Steel Bowl for Pivot Head Stand Mixers

  • Flat base keeps bowl steady and on counter and reduces spillage
  • Dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning
  • Works with any KitchenAid Pivot Head stand mixer; one-year warranty
  • customer review: When I ordered this bowl, I wasn't sure I needed it, but I had a gift certificate and was purchasing the KitchenAid bowl cover. Other comments helped me settle on this accessory for my new stand mixer. Now, I don't know what I would do without it. It's great for the smaller recipes I often make for two. (As noted by another comment, the beaters truly do work better in a smaller bowl for small quantities.) Even more useful, it allows me to beat wet ingredients in the small bowl and blend dry ingredients in the large one, eliminating the need to wash a bowl before combining them in the larger bow. The 3-quart bowl nests perfectly in the 4 1/2 quart bowl for storage.

  • Made of highly polished 18/10 stainless steel
  • Side handles provides exceptionally firm grip
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Lifetime warranty against defects
  • customer review: I love my All-Clad cookware, but these bowls are my favorite pieces. The handle makes all the difference. They are so easy to use and to clean that I never use my other bowls anymore. Yes, I have other bowls collected over the years, but I've gone 'off' plastic for the most part and relegated those to the garage or the barn. The glass bowls are heavy where these are lightweight while still strong. The slick stainless steel finish washes up in a flash. Mine aren't so sparkling anymore after years of whisking and beating so the inner finish is more a patina of whorls than a mirror, but that just shows how well-loved they are. It's the handle though, that sets these bowls apart more than anything else. It makes working with them secure and comfortable. They are well worth the investment because they will last a lifetime (or more).

  • customer review: I'm horribly picky when picking out kitchen products (OCD-like) and I love these mixing bowls. I have a modern kitchen and they fit right in. Picture is exactlly how they look when they arrive. They're sturdy yet sleek.

I get lazy sometimes and let them sit in water and they get a few waterspots but that's easily removed by barkeepers friend or perhaps just some soap and water.

    I'd highly recommend this product.

Amco 4-Quart Stainless Steel Mixing bowl

  • 4-Quart capacity, great for mixing batter
  • It has flat bottom
  • Stainless-steel construction
  • Sturdy lip makes it easy to grasp
  • Safe to use in dishwasher
  • customer review: This one is small and is better suited for small quantities. Not very appropriate for liquids, as they would splash out of the bowl, although a couple of beaten eggs can be worked fine in it, as well as a small amount of vinaigrette. For batter or whipping eggs, it is better to use a bigger one. It is very solid and sturdy and worth the higher price tag.

  • customer review: love, love, love this little mixing bowl. i'd also lust after it (and give it 5 amazon stars) if only the top outer edges of the handle were more beveled. i've owned this bowl for less than a month, but, it's never left my stove or countertop, i.e., it's in constant use vs. my other mixing bowls which sit neatly stacked in the cabinet until needed. the handle makes it very easy to just grab and go! i even use it as a garbage "pit stop" when prepping foods or cooking by just grabbing the handle and easily dumping the cast-off scraps in the trash or compost heap with an easy flick of the wrist ("look ma--one hand--even when filled to the brim!"). it's winning attributes are no muss no fuss stainless steel construction, it doesn't take up a lot of counter or stove top space, the thick-walled metal and curved-snug-against-the side handle offers good balance, and the handle is deep and wide enough that the bowl easily sits inside the edge of another pot for some double-boiler action. a previous reviewer offered that all-clad is most likely laughing all the way to the bank with such over-priced cookware and, while i don't disagree that it's only stainless steel and it's just a mixing bowl, i did see the very same design offered in a lesser-priced line. however, the lesser-priced mixing bowls did not offer the same design or quality, specifically, i noticed the metal was thinner, the handle was not as deep or nicely curved and the handle's edges were, in fact, sharp. yes, these pieces are just mixing bowls, but, i do believe the lesser-priced bowl could not adequately match what i love about this all-clad bowl (sturdy construction, a comfortable "grab and go" handle which, with its design, has the added bonus of providing the pot the ability to sit inside several of my other pots--presto-- instant double boiler!). and, as with the majority of my cookware, i shopped around and found it on sale. in all fairness, it was still a lot of money for a one quart mixing bowl, but, it's versatility has made even the sale price a bit tastier to swallow.

  • customer review: These are the best mixing bowls I have every used! I use at least one or two every day. They have a nice handle so you can get a good grip on it. The polished stainless steel is so beautiful you could definitely use them to serve as well. I find I use the 1.5 quart for mixing sauces or beating eggs and the 3 & 5 quart sizes for cake mixes and fillings. I also have the 7 quart that is a must have for making meatballs. They do not have any rubber on the bottom and I prefer them this way. I think the rubber bottoms are bacteria collectors and shorten the lifetime of the bowl. I have an oxo rubber bottom mixing bowl that I never use, I actually store my hand mixer and attachments in it.
The bases of the All Clad mixing bowls are a good size and there is no danger that anything could tip over, that is unless you tip it over yourself! They are also very, very easy to clean and they nest together perfectly to save space. I am also planning to add the 1-quart size to my collection soon. Top quality and excellent design! Once you use these bowls you will not want to use any others! If you are considering this bowl, check out the 3-bowl set, it is a great value! Highly recommended!

  • customer review: This set of mixing bowls are wonderful. Here is a hint to make the lids fit the bowls properly. Fill your sink with some very hot water (not boiling) and put the plastic lids in the water for about 5 minutes. Take them out of the water and immediately (and securely) put them on the bowl and let the lids cool on the bowl. Now the lid is the proper shape for the size of the bowl and a perfect fit.
