Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments

    by Cuisinart (CSB-77)

    $59.95 $49.95
  • 200-watt immersion hand blender housed in brushed stainless steel
  • Powerful chopper and whisk attachments provide added versatility
  • Lightweight design; easy-to-grip ergonomic handle; simple push-button control
  • 16-ounce mixing/measuring beaker and 2-cup mixing container included
  • Measures 2-1/8 by 2-3/5 by 14 inches; 3-year limited warranty
  • customer review: I have had this unit now for 4 months and it works great. The features work well and I use it from making graveys to chopping nuts and purree fruit for cakes. The only minor drawback is the flask as it narrows at the bottom, but it has not proven to be a real issue.

I have read the comments about food flying onto the walls. Never had it happen as I have used stick blenders for years and found that usually happens when you are not fully submerged. I love the whisk attachmend for quick mixing of eggs, pancake batter, even crepe batter so the dough does not get tough.

    1. Cordless - What can be said here. Travles around my kitchen well
    2. Ease of use - simple direct, easy to clean
    3. Mini-processor for chopping etc.
    4. Soft whip cream a breeze

    Overall this product is fantastic.

Braun MR5550CA Multiquick Professional Hand Blender, White

    by Braun (MR5550CA-WH)

    $73.49
  • Includes hand blender, chopper, metal whisk, covered beaker, and wallholder
  • Powerful 400-watt motor
  • Anti-splashing shaft on handblender attachment
  • Speed selector; turbo button
  • Attachments are dishwasher safe; 1-year limited warranty
  • customer review: This is a powerful, versatile, and easy to clean piece of equipment. The cord is a good length and does not seem to get in my way. It has the power to crush ice, make good hummus, and blend just about anything. However, as I note below, it is NOT invulnerable, and that is to be expected.

I purchased this to replace one that I had for a few years and burnt out (my fault, not Braun's). This one has a larger chopper than the old one, which is nice. It functions well as a small food processor.

I do wish the smaller, higher button were the one that went to full speed, as that one is the more intuitive to press. If I want to use the variable speed feature, I have to make a mental effort to press the small button, and that is poor design. I also wish it still came with the more slender, stainless steel blending attachment. However, I still have the one from the one I burnt out, and it still fits.

    KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender, White

    by KitchenAid (KHB300WH)

    $129.99 $89.99
  • Ergonomic, fashion-colored housing with no-slip grip
  • Includes wire whisk and nut chopper attachments
  • 4-cup mixing beaker with snap-lock lid for storing foods
  • Accessory bag with drawstring keeps all components together
  • Measures 17 by 3 by 6 inches; 1-year, hassle-free, replacement warranty
  • customer review: This is really a good product. Powerful motor, churns through almost anything and the variable speeds are a necessity. You'll see some cheaper ones with a single or couple of speeds. I would reccommend against those.

One caution, if you do order from Amazon, do so with the expectation that something will go wrong. I think they may be getting so big that they can't manage it.

We ordered two things for Christmas, both went to the wrong address. This particular product went to a household on the other side of town. They had the right name but the wrong address on the package. The recepient was kind enough to look me up in the phone book and call me to tell me that I had a package at his house. Where Amazon got that address I'll never know. Amazon customer service (aka opium den in Calcutta) assured me that it was my fault and that in 28 days if I hadn't recieved my package, that I could apply for a credit. I couldn't explain to them how that was going to be hard to put a bow on.

My niece has a similar issue. She lives in CA and ordered something big that she didn't want to try to take on the airline, so she asked that it be shipped to her parent's house for Christmas. Of course, it came to her house, Amazon said, 'Tough nuggies", she paid FedEx to ship it to her parent's house.

In summary, I can sure reccommend the product but not the seller.

BonJour Primo Latte Frother with Stand, Black/Brushed Aluminum

    by BonJour (53453)

    $19.99 $19.95
  • Frother whips up rich, creamy milk froth in seconds for cappuccinos and lattes
  • Elegant ergonomic handle features non-slip accents
  • Stainless-steel stem and spring coil frothing disc
  • Wire stand keeps frother handy
  • customer review: I've been looking for a good frother to make my Greek Frappe coffee. I got this for Christmas and I'd have to say it's SLOW. I had bought a different frother from Ikea for $3 and that one spins so much faster and stronger than this one (don't use Ikea batteries). So save your money. Other notes: the stand is so lite that it falls over when removing it, the unit itself looks cool but that's it. I recommend buying one that uses 4 batteries instead or just get the cheap one from Ikea.

Cuisinart BFP-10CH PowerBlend Duet Blender and Food Processor, Chrome and Black

    by Cuisinart (BFP-10CH)

    $185 $79.95
  • 500-watt countertop blender with 3-cup food-processor attachment
  • 7 preprogrammed speeds for versatility; oversized "on/off" switch
  • Feed tube and pusher, slicing/shredding disc, and chopping blade
  • 56-ounce glass jar; LED indicators; dishwasher-safe parts; cord storage
  • Measures 6-7/8 by 8 by 15 inches; 3-year limited warranty
  • customer review: When I bought this item, I thought,(foolishly)that the base was chrome like my other Cuisanart items. It is PLASTIC!! I will be lucky to have it last a year! I would buy it for the blender, I guess, since the blender is glass, but it still has to go on that plastic base. Don't waste your money...look carefully to get one that has a chrome base, unless the plastic doesn't matter to you. Mine is already scratched just after four uses and cleaning with mild soap and water with a soft cloth. It is a cheap product that probably won't hold up to the daily use the way I use it.

KitchenAid KHB300OB Hand Blender, Onyx Black

    $129.99 $89.99

  • Includes wire whisk and nut chopper attachments
  • Also includes a 4-cup mixing beaker with snap-lock lid for storing foods
  • Accessory bag with drawstring keeps all components together
  • 1-year hassle-free replacement warranty
  • customer review: We recently purchased after seeing a review on America's Test Kitchen. For certain tasks it is much easier than pulling out the blender or cuisinart. Though those devices still have a their place, this baby isn't going to shred any cheese. This is quicker on the clean-up side. The chopper accessory does a good job chopping onions. No more tears. Have not tried it yet, but confident that it will do a good job with shakes and smoothies. No more fighting the blender. You could save a couple of dollars by buying the same blender sans the attachments and accessories. When I have had an issue with other Kitchen Aid products I have had a very good customer service experience. Don't antcipate anything at this point in time, but feel confident should the occasion arise. Because it is niche product I would only recommed for someone that spends a fair amount of time in the kitchen.

    KitchenAid Blender Coupler Coupling 9704230

    by KitchenAid

    $3.95
  • Rubber coupling which sits on motor base and drivers blender blades
  • customer review: Instructions for replacing the coupling are better if you read the other reviews on how to remove the coupling wherein you stick a flat blade screwdriver at the base of the blender to rpevent the motor from turning as opposed to following enclosed instructions.

Part will work perfectly once replaced but YES I do recommend that you pick 2 or 3 pcs at time of order as I can see the part failing after a short while due to the soft compound of the rubber but what the heck it is cheap enough and you can do it yourself.

  • customer review: We purchased this for our son to go along with his Hamilton Beach Snow Cone maker. They were perfect! The cups were sturdy enough for his snow cones, and the colorful straws were great. We've already used up most of the supplies, since he spent most of Christmas making snow cones for the family. This was a great buy and I plan to purchase them again!

Hamilton Beach 51101 Single-Serve Blender with Travel Lid

    by Hamilton Beach (51101)

    $16.99
  • 175-watt single-serve blender for smoothies, shakes, and more
  • Simple one-touch operation; durable stainless-steel blades
  • 14-ounce blending jar doubles as a travel cup; less to clean
  • Fits most car cup holders; travel lid and recipe book included
  • Measures 3-3/4 by 3-3/4 by 12-1/2 inches
  • customer review: I've had 3 other smoothie blenders over the years, and either they've frustrated me (poor design) or burned out (poor quality). This Hamilton Beach blender has lasted a long time, the design is excellent, and I still like to use it.

I make a smoothie nearly every day, and my wife does the same. We've had this blender for over a year, so that's probably about a thousand smoothies, and it's still going strong. It's easy to rinse out, works great, and takes up very little room on the counter.

    The best I've ever used!

Cuisinart BFP-703CH SmartPower Duet Blender/Food Processor, Chrome

    by Cuisinart (BFP-703CH)

    $185 $89.95
  • 350-watt combination unit saves space and tackles a wide range of cooking tasks
  • 3 cups food processor bowl, 40-ounce glass blender jar--great for parties
  • User-friendly, 7-speed, touch pad control with indicator lights
  • Includes 1 standard blade and 1 slicing/shredding disc
  • Measures 16 by 6-1/2 by 6 inches; 3-year limited warranty
  • customer review: Here's a couple things off the bat:

I use this blender for heavy Indian cooking and I will compare it's performance to my Aunt's 30-year old glass-jar blender (Osterizer) that she still users every two days.

    1. This it is noisy. Very noisy. At the food processor setting / puree you can't hear squat within 20 feet of this thing.
    - The 30-year old Osterizer is incredibly quiet in comparison.

    2. This thing does not make good chutney. No matter what jar / blade/ setting you use - at the end the chuteny is never 'fine' enough and is leafy/chunky.
    - The Osertizer is quiet and does the job with a glass jar mixer

    3. The Cuisinart glass jar always has stuff that never reaches the blade when I am pureeing spinach / coriander.
    - The Osterizer never misses a beat

From what I am reading online - the new Osterizer blenders are garbage.

I was recently informed by a friend, that one can get the Indian Sumeet brand mixer for about $100 including shipping designed for 110v. I think I am going to go with that in the next couple weeks.

BTW, I've had this blender for 2 years now.

  • customer review: I bought this blender several weeks ago for the purpose of making green smoothies and it is fabulous! Put in your ingredients, push the whole juice button, and the blender does all the work for you. I make green smoothies every morning using a variety of ingredients and it has worked perfectly every time. I am not sure I understand all the complaints about the noise - I don't find it to be any louder than my Kitchen Aid mixer.

This blender comes with 6 preset program buttons and I have tried most of them - let me give you a brief rundown:

"Ice cream/Frozen Yogurt" - This program makes ice cream instantly. I mean you put the ingredients in the blender, hit the program button, and you've got ice cream; no time in the freezer required! You can make low fat ice cream, or non-dairy ice cream with soy milk or tofu. Instant gratification!

"Ice crush/Milkshake" - I have never seen a home blender do a better or more consistent job of crushing ice. It also makes fabulously thick soy milk milkshakes.

"Soups/Syrups/Fondues" - You can make soup in this blender - I mean make and heat soup! I love this program for a super quick dinner. Put in your ingredients, hit the soup button one to three times and you've got hot soup to which you can add cooked vegetables or meats. This program also makes fantastic blueberry and strawberry syrup!

"Sauces/Dips/Dressings/Batters" - Make your own salad dressings, without all the artificial chemicals in the bottled brands. This program also does waffle batter, pancake batter and any other batter you can think of.

"Whole Juice" - Make green smoothies or your own whole juices like carrot juice, apple juice, pineapple juice, etc. My complaint about juicers has always been the waste of pulp - all that fiber gone! With the Blendtec, such complaints are gone! I make orange apple juice with 2 oranges, 1 apple and some water - juice with no wasted pulp and no pulp to clean out of a machine.

"Smoothies" - Makes the best fruit smoothies I've ever had out of a home blender. Makes great frozen cocktails too!

This blender also makes bread dough, pie crust, whipped cream, jams, salsa, nut butters and milk substitutes (almond milk, soy milk, etc.). The preset programs are so great because the machine slows and speeds itself up, assuring that all ingredients get blended without me having to stop and scrape anything. I can press a program button and walk away. Talk about convenient!

There is a Pulse button so you can control the blender yourself if you don't want to use one of the 6 program buttons. It also comes with a 244 page recipe and instruction book - it is the nicest recipe book I have ever received with any home appliance. I truly haven't noticed that this blender is overly loud, but I do have a kitchen towel under it (makes it easier to slide on the counter), so maybe that has helped muffle the noise. Clean up is breeze - a little hot water, a drop of dish soap, pulse for 5 to 10 seconds and rinse. That's it!

This blender is worth every penny and one of the best investments I have ever made.

    Cuisinart SB-5600 Supreme Super 600 60-Ounce 6-Speed Stainless-Steel Blender with Glass Jar

  • Push-in cord storage keeps countertops tidy; dishwasher-safe parts
  • Measures 7-5/8 by 8-1/3 by 16-3/8 inches; 3-year limited warranty
  • customer review:
I wanted a high power blender similar to a Vitamix, but I noticed that Vitamix blenders were priced at approximately $400. Although this Cuisinart blender is not quite as powerful as a Vitamix, the price is much better and so is the overall look of the blender. This blender is the most powerful in the Cuisinart Line.
I have used this blender to make soups and fruit & vegetable smoothies and it has worked extremely well and is very easy to clean. The jar is also very strong and can contain a high quantity of liquids and solids. It is the best blender I have ever owned and would recommend it to anyone.
