customer review: After returning my month old Cuisinart thermal carafe coffee maker to the store where I'd purchased it (see that review!), I stopped off at the local thrift store to browse. While looking at the housewares, I spotted an old electric percolator that had never been used (the cord was still wrapped!). I purchased it. I figured if it didn't work I was only out three bucks, and if it did work, I'd be in for a treat! Well, after a little bit of research I found this to be the Farberware 2-12 cup percolator that has recently come back into popularity. Mine is the older model (made in the Bronx!) but it works like it was just newly made! Seriously, the best cup of coffee I've ever tasted. Nice and hot, with no nasty paper filter taste. Easy to fill. Easy to pour. Easy to clean. Brews hot, stays hot, and doesn't take up all the room on your kitchen counter that all these new coffee makers do. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

customer review: Oh, what a fabulous, good, old-fashioned (excuse me, "classic") coffee pot this is! I LOVE it, especially the common-sense design of a FLAT sturdy bottom that doesn't allow flames to burn the handle. Whoever started that ridiculous top-heavy, narrow-bottom trend should be flogged. GREAT product, from a TRADITIONALLY ("classic"...?) great company!

customer review: I purchased this for a large family gathering for Christmas. It makes great coffee and is easy to clean. It was easier than refilling a 10 cup maker over and over again. I am taking it with me for our week at the beach. I am tired of the smaller version being empty for that last cup.

customer review: I recommend this percolator to any coffee or tea drinker. I bought this because I do not have the counter space any longer for a coffee maker. i also don't drink but a cup or two of coffee a day and I didn't have a need for a large coffee maker. But I am also an avid tea drinker. So I wanted to get something that could double as a teapot. This percolator was just the perfect product. First off, it boils the water, and you don't get that from a coffee pot. By boiling, not only does it make the flavor of the coffee stand out, but it kills that "tap water flavor". I can use it to boil water for my tea and I can even brew my tea. It doesn't take up any shelf space, it is small and easy to store. Cleaning it is very simple. I do recommend getting the clear glass percolator top to replace the hard plastic one the percolator comes with. I never had any problems with the plastic one, but other people did and I just followed their advice and the glass one has never failed on me. I also recommend getting percolator filters. I get them at my local market that fits any style percolator. If you choose not to use a filter, then you may get a few fine grinds at the bottom of your glass. The filter not only takes that problem away, but it also helps you control the flavor of the coffee better by it being filtered. I hope this review was helpful.

customer review: Looks nice however the interior pieces are very flimsy & look as though they would need replacing at least once a year. Also the filter cover doesn't do a good job of keeping the grinds in the basket. I had more grind in my coffee cup that I care to drink. The only positives are you can take it camping and great for power outages. Would not recommend this product for daily use.

customer review: No fuss, no muss, simple to use and clean up. I'm not an espresso connosieur but I do like a good cup now and then. I have an electric brand name espresso maker that's a major effort to use and clean up. It has been retired in favor of this little gem. I'm all about "simple". I'm also in favor of stainless steel versus aluminum. For that reason -alone- I chose this version over Bialetti's other models. The only issue I have with this little pot is that it's hard to tell when it is completely done brewing. It gurgles as it brews, but one doesn't want to let it gurgle too long to avoid bitterness. I'm amazed at how quickly a pot is brewed. Living at high-altitude, liquids boil much quicker than at sea level, but a full pot of espresso is brewed in about 2 minutes here. Easy to clean, easy to use. Brews a delicious cup or two of espresso. Much easier than the fussy machines you pay thousands of dollars for.

customer review: My husband, who is a two pot a day coffer drinker, and very fussy, says that this coffee maker does not burn the water, and therefore the coffee tastes the best. I find it easy to use and clean ( I do not drink coffee).

customer review: As someone mention this one doesn't have a shut off bottom which can be dangerous if anyone forgets to shut it off. The coffee this percolator makes is the best tasting coffee but I only give it 4 stars since needs some improvements. Something like auto shut off and maybe a timer. The item looks great and the workmanship looks of the highest quality....except for the base which can also be improve but is not noticeable at all. I do recommend this item though, that is if you are looking for the best cup of coffee. The percolator also looks great also. I also recommend that you test this item right after you get it. I had to return the first one I got since the front light was not working properly. Too expensive to be faulty.

customer review: We bought this coffeepot when our other pot died suddenly after about 10 years of faithful service. We liked the looks of the Hamilton Beach and bought one before reading any reviews. What a lousy coffeepot! It made decent coffee a couple of times but very quickly began to produce the "weak tea" others here have described. Money down the drain ... but we did learn one thing. No more Hamilton Beach products! Don't buy this. Seriously, just keep looking. You will NOT be happy with this thing.
