customer review: I originally purchased two of these for salt and pepper and then bought another five sets for Christmas gifts. Everyone loved them. They become a topic of conversation at every dinner party. The only complaint I have is you can't order them with salt in them. You have to order two with pepper and then change the one to salt.

customer review: The battery operated peppery mill is not only functional, it looks great on the table. If found a similar product a friend had on her bridal registry at crate & barrel for $50 each so I decided to search amazon and found this product. It does take a lot of battery power (6 AAA's) but so far they have lasted 6 months and are just starting to fade and we use a lot of pepper (for a 2 person family). Of course it's noisier than a manually operated one, but it's not like you need to be quiet during meals. We bought 2 and emptied out the pepper and put in sea salt and it worked great. The salt is easier to grind since it is a softer material so it comes out a little faster than the pepper, so watch out the first few times you use it until you get used to how much pours out. The only negative (besides 6 batteries) is that you can't make a fine/coarse adjustment on it. It only has one grind size and it's about medium which should be good for most pepper uses and just about right for seasoning & cooking. We love it and bought more sets for family members at christmas since everyone seems to love using ours.

customer review: I initially purchased these bowls as a prep bowl set, and then I was highly impressed at the measuring capabilities. They are well-made and beautiful (I ordered the persimmon color, a nice orange that isn't garish). They really make things easier in the kitchen. A good value.

customer review: Prepara Herb Savor - This product does extend the life of fresh herbs and takes very little space in the refridgerator. Given the size and price of the bundles of fresh herbs commonly available this appears to be a cost effective product.

customer review: This pepper mill is a nothing but a piece of junk. I ordered two of them. The motor on the first one died within 10 seconds of putting the batteries in. On the second one, the motor is "working", but it is not turning the metal rod, so all you get is the motor noise and no grinds. The motor has all plastic, fine teeth gears - even if you get lucky and get it to grind a teaspoon before it dies, how long do you think that's going to last? Don't throw your money away on this bottom of the barrel "made in china" junk.

customer review: My old pepper grinder was giving me huge chunks of cracked pepper. After reading other reviews I thought I would make this my first ceramic grinder, and I'm very happy I did. The pepper comes out in a nice spray and at a good table grade medium grind. The top screws on securely and the glass container has a frosted finish that provides grip when grinding. A wonderful product. I highly recommend it.

customer review: I bought 2 of these and completely changed out the spices in one of them. The first one I bought was broken at the base and I had to take it back, but I made sure the next one was OK. It would be great if the bases were wood and not plastic, but as long as I take care of it I shouldn't have any problems. If I had more room and more friends to dump spices on I would love to get a 3rd one and change out the spices as well.

customer review: I use this nutmeg grater all the time. The only thing I wish was different is that it is too hard for me to open the top to put in another nutmeg. I just can't get a good grip on it. I have to ask my husband to open it for me.

customer review: Ok, here it is gang, I have had this model(with the darker walnut finish) for over 15 years, after trying to find one like my mom had for over 30 years. This is the only one that william bounds makes that seems to hold up over time(read all the other reviews on the other models, and you will see what I mean, they seemed to have changed some very important things), but they don't list it on their web site, so if you can find it, buy it, you will not have to get a pepper grinder again.

customer review: The Kuhn Rikon Vase grinder is the best grinder I've ever used for peppercorns. The grinder holds a lot of peppercorns, it is easy to adjust the coarseness of the pepper, and there's no clean-up afterwards thanks to the ingenious design with the grinder on top.

customer review: This is a splendid little grinder. I'm up to three of them - one for sea salt, one for mixed peppercorns, and one for a favorite herb blend. I'm considering adding a couple more for dried chipotles and smoked salt. Absolutely no complaints, a terrific product. Very easy to use and clean, and I like red. ;-)

customer review: If you do a lot of cooking this is a convenient gadget to have. Single-handed pepper grinding can be a great thing when cooking. The light, though it sounds gimmicky, is a also beneficial. Even though the peppercorn "hopper" is small, it last plenty long and is easy to refill. Drawbacks: Stainless steel grinding mechanism instead of ceramic and the grind setting is very difficult to adjust (I just found a grind I like and haven't touched it since).

customer review: This grinder set looks very nice, but does not grind too great. The grind adjustment settings don't permit a sufficient range of grinds. It's either large, or very large. I prefer a fine grind but it's not possible with these. Also, the salt grinder cannot grind "celtic salt" which is slightly moist. It doesn't permit a fine enough grind setting, so it simply will not come through. This was the main purpose for which I purchased the set, so I'm somewhat disappointed. It's "so so" at best.

customer review: I ordered this spice rack and one of the arms was broken when I recieved it. I returned it to Amazon and they shipped me another one right away. It was broken in the exact same way. The other reviews say the same thing. If you order this, cross your fingers that it doesn't come broken.
