![]() | | customer review: I use it every day and am glad I have it. It is easy to read and has many different volume units. Prior to buying this from Amazon a few years ago I had to have 2 sets of measuring cups to avoid messes when I needed to measure the same quantity of a liquid and a solid. | Pyrex Prepware 2-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurementsby Pyrex (6001075) ![]() $6.99 customer review: It's a measuring cup, does it job good. The reason for the review is comparing with the plastic ones, glass ones are far better.
| #1 - It's easy to clean. Even if you use it to measure oil, glass cleans a lot better afterwards. #2 - The glass is very thick, you can call it heavy duty. Bumping it on the counter or against pans, it won't just break. #3 - The handle holds comfortablly & the cup has a pouring mouth. A real simple item, but this one gets everything right at the reasonable price. Good buy. Was not disappointed!!! | Pyrex Prepware 2-Quart Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurementsby Pyrex (6001072) ![]() $8.45 customer review: Love the 8 cup pyrex for adding water to my 5 gal. cooler mash tun.
| Quicker, easier, and more accurate then adding from a pint measuring cup over and over again. Add the grains and you are mashing away to a great all-grain beer. Pyrex Prepware 1-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurementsby Pyrex (6001074) ![]() customer review: These measuring cups have always had an annoying issue that makes no sense to me. I am a right-handed American who uses Cups as a measuring unit. When I am pouring something into the measuring cup, I hold the cup in my left hand and pour with my dominant right hand. That means that the scale I need is on the opposite side of the cup. It p***** me off every single time. Was this designed for left-handed people, or am I missing something? | Pyrex Prepware 1-Quart Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurementsby Pyrex (6001076) ![]() $5.99 customer review: I love this measuring cup. It's a perfect size for a variety of measuring, mixing and microwaving.
| Glass Pyrex measuring cups and bowls are perfect to measure your ingredients in and then just pop right in the microwave to heat up. The open handle is great to hold onto while mixing and also great to grab while removing hot ingredients out of the microwave. The handle doesn't get hot in the microwave. I have the 1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup and the 8 cup measuring cups in Pyrex. They are great. I love the durable glass instead of plastic, so no worries about bacteria, odors or chemicals. The markings in red are easy to read too. They are also made in the USA. Highly recommend. This size is the one that use the most in my kitchen. I use it every morning to make my grits in and almost every night to make my mashed potatoes in. Its also great to make pudding, melt butter and a variety of other foods. Cuisinart 4 Piece Measuring Cup Set with Leveler, Redby Cuisinart (89443) ![]() customer review: my Cuisinart measuring spoons and spatula. Looking forward to getting more products for my kitchen that match these well priced and good quality products.Cuisinart 4 Piece Measuring Cup Set with Leveler, Red | Norpro Grip-ez 12 Piece Measure Cup Spoon Setby Norpro (3042) ![]() customer review: I regularly use this measuring set and would not recommend anyone get them if there is another option available. They do perform the tasks they are designed to ie they measure liquid and solids. I hate that the measuring set, specifically the cups are not weighted properly. By this I mean that when they are empty or filled the cup bottoms do not remain even on the flat surface. They tend to tip or tilt toward the handle. If there is a liquid or solid in the cup, it causes it to fall out. Therefore, a carefully measured amount of food can become not so carefully measured when it falls out on the counter or floor. | Oxo Good Grips Mini Angled Measuring Cup 3-Packby OXO (1061863) ![]() customer review: I got these for my mom for her birthday because she wanted them, and when they came I could see why. They have an angled panel on the inside of the cup that has the measurements on it so you can see what your measuring from the top instead of having to look at the side of the cup! Great product and she loves them. | Amco 4-Piece Stainless Steel Measuring Cup Setby Amco (527) customer review: The quality and weight of this stainless steel set is superb. Well worth of cost! | Trudeau 5-Piece Measuring-Cup Setby Trudeau (099-888) ![]() $3.49 customer review: Great value! Very sturdy material for the low price. Only downside is that the clasp which holds all the measuring cups together is not the easiest to open/close, but that is a minor issue. | Oxo Good Grips 1-Cup Angled Measuring Cupby OXO (70881) ![]() customer review: I have easily had this measuring cup for 4-5 years, and it gets very frequent use in my household!
| The measurements are easy to read either from the top or from the side. Another added benefit is that the handle is perfect for hanging; we have a crock full of our spatulas and other kitchen tools; this handle slips right into the crock and allows the measuring cup to hang off the edge for easy access. Washes up very well in the dishwasher; I was concerned that the letters would wear off with use but so far they are all clear! Would definitely recommend to a friend or buy as a housewarming gift! Oxo Good Grips 4-Cup Angled Measuring Cupby OXO (1050030) ![]() customer review: Worked good for a few weeks, but the measurements have flaked off after just a few uses. It's been hand washed with mild detergent, so not sure what's going on...usually Oxo has great build quality and forethought! | Calphalon Stainless Measuring Cupsby Calphalon (FS15) customer review: Have had these for a couple years and have no complaints. They are easy to use, wash up well and worth the extra $$$ over inferior measuring cups that I would eventually have to replace. These seem to be eternal. | Pyrex Prepware 8-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Lid and Measurementsby Pyrex (1055161) ![]() $16.92 customer review: I purchased this 8 cup measuring bowl as a replacement for a broken one, and since Amazon offered me a deal, I purchased two of them. I could make a long list of its fine attributes and usefulness, however suffice to say that I would NEVER be without one of these in my kitchen ; it is an essential for me to make custards, puddings and sauces in the microwave.....nothing else provides the extra room for bubble ups, shows how much you have, and has the nice handle for handling hot bowls. | Pyrex Prepware 4-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Lid and Measurementsby Pyrex (1055162) ![]() $13.46 customer review: As a single male trying to negotiate simplicity for a reason, I purchased this Pyrex Prepware Measuring 4-Cup for just one accurate purpose: measuring. As it would turn out, after the fact of course, I remembered I don't know how to cook so measuring had become yet another non-essential I've accumulated. If I'd only listened to those THREE NOSY FROGS ON A LOG on the red oak log just outside my door along the path! But if I were to ever measure, I'd want to measure accurately and you most definitely can do that with this Pyrex Prepware--like a long-legged female beauty in a Speedo swim suit, it's easy on the eyes; and just as important as easy is, it's made of glass and NOT what might later be discovered as some mysterious causing carcinogen leached out of its body when it reacts by the application of high heat with acids, as in tomatoes or fruit. I love my pyrex glass! And you should too.
| Thank goodness for ingenuity triumphing over purpose! I prepare a lot of soups and often I like to add my own assortment of frozen vegetables. And if I'm really hungry I'll open two cans and not just one! I can put everything I desire into this, not including the spyder found after-the-fact soliciting where it didn't belong, put it in the microwave and get it nice and hot and it won't boil over! And when its done gurgling I can grab it by its handle, and by the way it really likes that! and enjoy some delicious almost-homemade soup! And not only that, you have two ways to Slurp: by the spoon (and make sure its big) or by the accurate pouring spout that'll never miss a big mouth! Imagine that!! The only thing it didn't come with was Love. But then again I didn't expect to be buying that. So if you have someone who would love to share your Pyrex cup, you're as rich as Solomon was with just one wife and a lot richer than me, so enjoy this blessing while you can as you dive into one of the simplest of Life's pleasures time and time again with this marvelous creation of glass called Pyrex!!!! p.s. I also bought the 8-Cup Pyrex Measurer-- at the same time! IT'S A SOUP-LOVER'S DREAM COME TRUE! You can knock off both lunch AND dinner with this puppy! Pfaltzgraff Winterberry Measuring Cup Setby Pfaltzgraff (109B5630) ![]() customer review: The price of these is amazing! This will be a teachers gift along with some cookie ingredients. | Chef'n SleekStor™ Collapsible Measuring Cup Set, Cherryby Chef'n (CUP-540CH) ![]() customer review: OK, these are really attractive measuring cups. My sister who doesn't cook much loves them. As a daily dinner cook and big holiday baker I have a few complaints. 1) Flour and sugar sticks to the inside of the silicone cups, making it less easy to dip them into your flour AND sugar container when making one batch of cookies, etc. So they are better for liquid measurement. 2) The handles cause the smaller cups at least, to tip over unless they are filled. This is not convenient when filling them with milk or another liquid from a container. 3) There is no 3/4 cup measure, so you have to estimate with the one cup or use both the 1/4 cup and the 1/2 cup. There is no 2/3 cup either, but using the 1/3 twice doesn't seem as bad. All in all, the hard plastic tupperware type are more useful. | All-Clad Stainless Measuring Cup Setby All-Clad (59917) ![]() customer review: These cups are very strong and well made. They feel almost like a small sauce pan. | | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
