customer review: My wife has been using Silpat and Matfer silicone baking mats for years. Both are made in France and seem to perform equally well. Recommend both highly and would opt for whichever is cheapest at the moment.

customer review: I got this baking mat for my birthday from my wish list and I love it! I have been using it almost daily and it works very well. I used to have rolls burnt on the bottom and raw on top, but since I started using this mat they were evenly brown. I throw it in the dishwasher every now and then to clean it, but it doesn't get very dirty and nothing sticks to it. A wonderful nifty thing no one should be missing in his/her kitchen!

customer review: This mat worked really well. My oven runs a little hotter than most and this mat kept my cookies from getting too done on the bottom. And it was easy to clean and store. Would buy again.

customer review: I recently moved into a new townhouse with a granite counter, but the granite counter is a TILE counter -- which made working on it annoying (the grout always got in the way). I bought this on a whim at a retail store for about $20 more than amazon, and I'm thrilled with it. I roll it out and I can knead dough, roll out cookies, and make a mess. It perfectly solves the grout issue for me, but if I went back to a solid counter, I would STILL use this mat; it's great for rolling out dough. Unbelievable! No more waxed paper to peel off, etc. Cleanup is easy... The only con on this, no fault of the product, is storage. It must be rolled, and not folded, so finding some place to stow something this big took some creativity.

customer review: This jelly roll liner is excellent. There's no need to worry about greasing jelly roll or cookie sheets. Cookies don't stick to this liner, and all you have to do to clean it is wipe it down with a damp cloth. No more cookies sticking! This has made baking a much easier endeavor.

customer review: It's such a great idea, right? Don't have to really worry about getting the pan all stained and dirty, and the food won't stick! But, I've found that there's a limited amount of things I can use the silicone baking mats for. Anything I use them with comes out soft and chewy, which is nice for some things, but I usually like the cookies I bake to have just a little bit of crispiness around the edges. I used these once, and they've been in my pantry ever since.

customer review: This is fabulous - why I haven't been using these for years I don't know. My peach pie spilled over - no burn, no mess, rinsed clean and done. These will make great Christmas gifts for 2009! The mat lays on the lowest setting of the oven rack and catches the drips. It is not placed on the bottom floor of the oven. From wife of retired guy - retired guy doesn't cook.....

customer review: I own 2 of these, and they do keep the cookies from sticking that is for sure. But, they leave a taste in the cookies. Mild as it is it is still there.

customer review: I got tired of my dough sticking to my cutting board. This mat does work like magic. I made some crescent rolls last night. The dough was very soft. This didn't stick at all to the mat. I can't wait to try sugar cookie dough on it. I always have trouble with that dough. Thanks for a great product

customer review: This product is fine except that I thought it would be larger, ie. cover more of my microwave turntable. It cleans up well and catches any run overs so it essentially does what it is supposed to do.

customer review: I bought 2 of these pastry boards last year; they work great! I've had several other pastry rolling cloths in the past (made from cloth, plastic, and silicone) and none have been as effective as these. Lefse can be rolled out paper thin on these without creating a "stick spot." Clean up is super easy -- can be removed from the wooden board and run through the washer, although usually just needs to be shaken out.

customer review: A note for brand comparison shoppers out there: I bought this brand of baking mat on sale from Boskov's for $10. It does the job of assisting in baking. I find it works better than the Exopat by Matfer I purchased here on Amazon. Less sticking, more even cooking of sausages and bacon, which I use them for. Haven't made a batch of cookies yet, which is why I initially bought them. After I purchased these 2, I heard Martha Stewart say on her show to spend the extra and buy Silpats only, they're worth it. These handy kitchen items are for daily cooking use. I don't, nor can't really, spend a fortune on my kitchen. It's an big investment just to get these new technologies as it is. If either don't bake cookies perfectly, conveniently (easy cookie prep & clean-up), and save me money, then I may invest in a Silpat, or just go back to prepping my cookware the old-fashioned ways. (I'm investing in new products to replace my 15-40 year old kitchen equipment. And yes, I have some 40 year old Tupperware that is still useable! The 40 year old hand-held mixer and Oster blender my mother bought for her new house in the early 60s are still going strong. Some new things are better, some are not.)

customer review: I love the pastry cloth and non-slip pad. It's large and can be used flat on the countertop instead of wrapped around a cutting board. When I washed it there were no wrinkles and the edges didn't roll up as my old pastry cloths did.

customer review: I haven't used the Lefse mix that came with this kit, but all of the other products work great and are must-have items for Lefse cooks! These products (including the grills) are difficult to find in stores, so I'm glad they are available on the web.
