  • customer review: This thermometer works great. You do need to sync the transmitter and reciever each time but there is nothing to it. I remove the batterys after each use and when you put them in the next time all you do is push the reset buttons. It reads the same as my manuel thermometer and the range seems to be just fine for me. I can be out playing horseshoes or visiting with guests and it always has been in range. I prefer to use my on temp settings as the pre programmed ones seem to make things a little done.

  • Monitor two different foods at one time.
  • Works wirelessly up to 100 feet.
  • Probe and wire are rated for over 500 degrees.
  • Elapsed cooking timer
  • Batteries included
  • customer review: This unit is suppossed to have a range of 100 feet but loses communication with nothing but open air between transmitter and receiver at 50 to 75 feet. Nice features on the receiver but My main reason for purchase was the remote capability, which does not work well. I believe my wireless router for the computer may be the cause, but that should have been taken into account in the design of the unit. A stronger transmitter or better receiver would make this into a 5 star unit.

  • Built to last, the only grill cleaning you tool you will need
  • customer review: New Kenmore grill and already getting frustrated over the laborious process of cleaning and forget about sticking parts in the dishwasher as you are told at Sears.

Well I grilled some chicken breasts and purchased this item and did not clean it for a few days until the Grill Daddy Pro arrived. (disgusting yes I know) but I guessed this was the ultimate test with old hardened grease on parts and bottom.

No need for instructions, common sense does it, heat up grill pour water in and go at it. This grill brush cleaned the my Kenmore grill well beyond expectations, and I noticed there was no abrasive scarring of finish on bottom of grill and sides ended up almost like new.

You can purchase without reservation, I am already looking to purchase additional brush heads because I suspect the manufacturer to either go out of business or discontinue this model of grill brush and I will not be able to replace.

    $14.99 $0
  • Insulated rubber construction
  • Light and flexible for greater dexterity
  • Insulated to shield your hands from hot meat
  • customer review: Got these to deal with the Thanksgiving turkey. For years it's been a battle, me vs. turkey. Using napkins, towels, forks, etc. trying to hold the bird to carve it was a real test. Not to mention getting it out of the roaster! With these, I just picked up the bird, put it on the cutting board, and when the time came, secured the bird while carving perfectly. Best carve I've ever done. Can't wait to pull some pork with these on New Years Day. One thing though, and the reason for 4 stars. The insides of the gloves, if they get wet, take forever to dry! Are you not supposed to get the insides wet???

I was under the 5 LB food limit, so it doesn't make sense. Okay, I tasted the meat after cooking and it was not better than a plastic bag marinade.

Please, please, do not purchase this.

Smart BBQ Flexible Aluminum LED Grill Light

    by Smart BBQ

    $29.99
  • Imported
  • customer review: I'd been to many stores looking for a good light. From Home Depot to Target to Walmart to a local grilling store. Nothing I found worked as well as this light. I finally found this light at Lowes

I like the fact that you can either use the magnets to hold it down or clamp it down. I used the magnets as I felt it was sturdy and worked well.

What I really liked about this light and what 99% of you should be concerned about it light dispersal and the ability to check doneness on the meat. Both were excellent.

It is small so leaves plenty of grill space but holds the chicken very stable. Handles make it easy to remove the chicken from the grill. No aluminum or paint vapor or who knows what else. The chicken was moist with crispy skin and cooked perfectly throughout. Can't go wrong with this. (see pictures)

    $7.49 $5.89
  • Hardwood handles
  • No rust brass bristles
  • Includes a scraper
  • Aids in removing grate residue

Weber 6422 18-Inch Grill Brush and Scraper

    by Weber (6422)

    $7.49 $6.99
  • Hardwood handles
  • No rust brass bristles
  • Includes a scraper
  • Aids in removing grate residue
  • customer review: This is a very well-made grill brush. I ordered it because of the Weber name (I have owned two Weber grills over the years), and because of the wood construction. Take it from me, if you sometimes grill over hot charcoal fires, stay away from the cheap plastic-handled brushes, even if they claim to be made from heat-resistant silicone or other such materials. When they melt (and they all will over a hot enough fire - my last one did as I was stoking up a hot fire on my Big Green Egg to sear steaks on), it creates a stinking mess all over the grill where you place your dinner.

The brass bristles are tough and do the job, and as of yet I have not noticed any falling out - a real danger if one were to get on a piece of meat and then swallowed. Nonetheless, I always quickly brush off the grill surface with an old straw whisk broom to clear the grilling surface of any stray bristles (VERY quickly over a hot fire!) just before I plop on the meat.

My only complaint (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) is what another reviewer noted. The stiff metal scraper at the end of the brush could definitely be bigger - especially to reach the sides of the grates on the cast iron grate I use on my Big Green Egg for steaks & chicken. But, this is not a show-stopper as it does an adequate job - it could just do a much better one if the scrapper was about 50% bigger.
