Commuter Mugs & Tumblers

Thermos Nissan Ultimate 14-Ounce Stainless-Steel Vacuum Travel Tumbler

by Thermos Nissan (JMH402)

$36 $15.86
  • Keeps 14 ounces of beverage hot or cold for hours
  • Lever-action opens and closes sip-hole for easy, no-spill sipping
  • Fits most vehicle drink holders (2-1/2-inch bottom)
  • Hand wash with mild detergent
  • Five-year warranty against defects
  • customer review: I have had 2 of these tumblers for probably 10 years. The only reason I'm looking for another is that my teenage son's friend broke the lever handle. They keep coffee pleasantly hot to drink for over an hour. They have held up well to weekly use over the years. The size and shape fit easily in the cup holders of all my vehicles. I am surprised to hear about the cleaning issue. Despite recommendations to hand-wash, I have always put both parts in the top rack of the dishwasher and have had absolutely no problem with "funk" accumulating or the seals failing. They come out clean and odor-free. Perhaps, as other reviewers have noted, I am not as particular as others.
I am disappointed to learn that the newer construction is not as hefty as the original. I plan to examine the new tumbler in the store before buying online.

More importantly it is stainless steel on the inside. Plastic coffee mugs may be a little bit cheaper but you're paying more with your health with the cancer causing chemicals that leak out in the plastic mugs. We're very happy with this product!

A french press, bottled water and free ground coffee to make coffee = A whole new appreciation for coffee.. The paper filters usually used in coffee makers absorb the natural oils in the coffee grounds that give coffees their distinct taste.

Zojirushi Ms. Bento Vacuum Lunch Jar in Stainless Steel

    by Zojirushi (SL-NCE09)

    $60 $49.99
  • Holds hot or cold meals
  • Durable stainless steel construction and vavuum insulation
  • 3 microwaveable inner bowls (except lid)
  • Nonstick coated washable inner container
  • Includes forked spoon and convenient carrying bag
  • customer review: My husband and I bought the Mr. & Ms. Bentos as Christmas presents for eachother this year. The Mr. Bento is a perfect size for his lunches, which I now pack each night. The Ms. seemed to small for me (I am a big lunch person), but I have yet to still be hungry. The number and size of containers forces me to choose wisely what I pack. For instance, Cheetos take up a lot of space, but are not filling, whereas cutup fruit is more filling for the space. In turn, our lunchces are much healthier. We've been saving money not eating out and we both feel better. The only downside to the Mr. Bento (I think) is the bag, which would be wonderful if it had room for a water bottle of some sort. The Ms. Bento has a terrific bag and fits a tall/long nalgene bottle aside the bento inside.

Copco 24oz Big Joe Thermal Travel Mug

  • Contoured handle
  • Easy to sip contoured hand use
  • Designed for right or left hand use
  • Giant 24-ounce capacity
  • Fits standard car cup holders
  • customer review: Size wise this is great, draw back is the opening through which you drink has no locking mechanism, so most of the heat is lost quickly through that hole. That defeats the primary purpose of the mug! I would rather have a smaller mug with a lock for the sipping hole.

    by Zojirushi (SL-GRE18)

    $74 $54.99
  • Holds hot or cold meals
  • Durable stainless steel construction and vavuum insulation
  • 3 microwaveable inner bowls (except lid)
  • Nonstick coated washable inner container
  • Includes forked spoon, chopsticks, carrying strap and protective cover
  • customer review: This works out really well if you are not near a microwave at lunch time. Make sure to follow their layer method of hot things in the bottom two containers and something that's okay at room temperature in the top, and you are set to go. It works really well with leftovers from the night before, and gets you out of the habit of eating out, which saves money and is probably healthier, too.

Oxo Good Grips Plastic LiquiSeal Travel Mug, Textured Green

    by OXO (1112403)

    $10.95 $9.99
  • Mug features three silicone seals to insure no spills
  • Double wall plastic construction improves thermal retention
  • Polycarbonate outer cup is shatter resistant
  • One-handed, one click activation
  • Soft, non-slip grip
  • customer review: These are nice mugs for the price and have a good lid, no spills.
Little tough to wash out the lid mechanism as it is kind of large and is tough to get inside of all the way to scrub out, even with a bottle scrubber.
    Pretty good though.

Zojirushi Tuff Mug in Stainless Steel

    by Zojirushi (SM-ABE35)

    $30 $24.74
  • Push bottom stopper
  • Wide mouth design
  • Vacuum insulated
  • Collapsible handle
  • Great for hot or cold beverages
  • customer review: The ZOJIRUSHI TUFF MUG looks smaller than the one I have, that's about [...] and has a handle, but it actually holds the same amount of liquid (about 2-cups or 16-ounces filled to the brim with no ice).

It's about 6 3/4" tall, with the lid on, and the lid has a small compartment for herbs, tea or sugar.

The only thing I don't like is the lip of the mug has no cover like my old one does. It's just metal or whatever that metallic outer shell is made of and I just have to get used to it.

But it does keep drinks colder/hotter than a regular cup. I also noticed that the this is made in Thailand and not Japan like my old cup was.

Thermos says to maximize the mugs effectiveness to warm the mug first with some hot water for a few minutes. I tried this and it works. My coffee stayed hot even longer. Highwave Original Hotjo Travel Coffee Mug Cobalt Blue 16 Oz

    $12
  • 16 ounce capacity
  • Bottom pad to prevent slipping
  • Stoneware
  • Drink-through top
  • True Highwave Original, not an imitation
  • customer review: I'm lovin' this mug - even though it took forever to arrive & with shipping, cost me $20! I had one back in the 80's that eventually broke & I'd been keeping an eye out for another for a very long time. I don't use this one as a travel mug, I like it for my A.M. coffee, at home because it holds 16 oz. and keeps my coffee hot. I do know it works well in the car, too as I used to take my other one on the road and it rides very nicely. I would have given this 5 stars, but deducted 2 for slow delivery (maybe because I ordered black - now I see black is not even offered on Amazon) and because of $8 for shipping (2/3 of the mug cost), but now that it's here I'm happy to have it

    $25 $21.95
  • Stainless cap over our One-push open and close ring for drinking
  • Keeps temperature up to 7 hours
  • 10% of Chantal's sales on this item will be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
  • customer review: My wife had asked for a cup she could use for tea only since most of our travel mugs are used for coffee. She also wanted something that would fit in her mug holder in her car without a problem. She was very happy with this choice. The only complaint she had was that it kept her tea very hot, unlike our other mugs, and she wasn't used to it. Other than that, she was very happy with its functionality.

This is more than just a mug,..its almost a small thermos with its capabilities. This is a good product.
