Vacu Vin Wine Saver Extra Stoppers, Set of 4

    by Vacu Vin Inc. (85218)

    $9.99 $6.44
  • Use with the Vacu Vin Wine Saver
  • Reusable vacuum wine storage
  • Keeps open wine fresh for two weeks

  • customer review: I could write several paragraphs but suffice it to say if you vacuum seal wine that you haven't decanted or left open for a week, it'll remain fresh for at least a couple weeks.

Vacu Vin 3-Piece Wine Saver Gift Pack, White

    by Vacu Vin Inc. (98125)

    $14.99 $7.45
  • Reusable vacuum wine storage set ideal for all wine lovers
  • Keeps open wine fresh for two weeks
  • Correct usage puts an end to the oxidation process
  • Includes 1 sturdy plastic pump and 2 high-quality rubber stoppers
  • Hand washable; one-year warranty
  • customer review: The Vacuum Wine Saver works as advertised in that it develops a vacuum over wine left in the bottle which "keeps" the wine and pulls the included stopper more deeply into the bottle. This vacuum is well maintained until you push the crown of the stopper horizontally which easily releases the vacuum and allows the bottle to be reopened. The only problem is the hand pump supplied to develop the vacuum. Pumping it the required number of strokes to make the whole thing work properly requires a good grip and good hand, wrist, and arm strength. If you are an older individual (like me) and have significant and painful hand and wrist arthritis (also like me) you may not be able to pump to a sufficient vacuum. Otherwise I love it.

    Metrokane Rabbit Corkscrew, Black

    by Metrokane (6004)

    $49.99 $49.95
  • Black Rabbit corkscrew by Metrokane combines function and modern style
  • Made of strong polycarbonate metal and reinforced nylon
  • Uncorks any wine bottle with one pull
  • Ergonomic grip pads for comfortable operation and velvety black finish
  • Foil cutter and extra spiral worm included; 10-year warranty
  • customer review: My Rabbit worked like a charm for about a case of wine. Then it started giving me problems on the retracting stroke. The corkscrew just spun out instead of pulling the cork. After a few additional tries it would work sporadically. After a few more bottles the handle broke, rendering the whole thing useless. After reading all the problems customers are having with this company's "customer service" I have decided to throw this thing in the garbage where it belongs and go back to my old lever style screw-and-pull cork remover - 10 years and it still works fine!

    Screwpull Pocket Model Corkscrew, Black

    by Screwpull (S1115-31)

    $15 $12.5
  • Classic self-pulling corkscrew model delivers excellence for many openings
  • Ergonomic handle

  • customer review: This is the best wine opener that i have ever used. It is simple, compact, convenient and easy to use. The thin screw does not break the cork. I liked this enough to purchase for all my friends.

Stainless Steel Wine Saver gift Set

    by Vacu Vin Inc. (0649350)

    $29.99 $29.95
  • Vaccum pump keeps the wine fresh for 7 to 10 days
  • Made of stainless finish
  • Includes vacuum pump, 2 re-usable rubber stoppers, and 2 pourers
  • Measures 5-inch by 3-inch
  • customer review: My wife and I typically have a glass of wine at dinner. The Vacuvin product works very well. After pouring some wine, we seal the bottle after each use, vacuuming out the air, and the rubber stopper works well enough that we can lean the bottle on its side and put it back into the wine refrigerator. I am very glad I discovered this product recently. It really saves wine from going stale.

    Corkscrew Bill

    by CSB Commodities (BCC1)

    $49.99 $39.99
  • You'll never have more fun opening a bottle of wine
  • Could create pinot envy
  • The new action hero for wine drinkers
  • Adds amusement to any dinner party
  • customer review: This product is lewd and vulgar and I strongly resent it being posted under "my picks". I have never looked at let alone purchased such dirty filthy products. I did not give you permission to subject me to gutter trash. I plan to file a porno complaint. I dont appreciate x-rated products on the home page. These and similar items are Obscene and not cute or funny. I am infuriated with the low standards Amazon has and the assumption every customer operates at that level.

Screwpull Patented 4 Wheel Foil Cutter - Black

    by Screwpull (S1415-31)

    $8 $7.99
  • Classic patented 4 Wheel design
  • Ergonomically designed
  • Excellent leverage
  • 5 year warranty
  • customer review: Prior to picking up the Screwpull cutter, I always used a serrated-edge foil cutter in a lever-type corkscrew. Those work well, but aren't very fast and you can cut yourself, either on the blade or the foil. The cutting wheels in the Screwpull cutter work quickly and well on all but the heaviest foils (hence the 4 stars). Squeeze firmly, twirl, and lift - off comes a perfect little foil cap.

In addition to this little gem, I recommend Screwpull's pocket model corkscrew: Screwpull Pocket Model Corkscrew, Black

    Orka Wine Pourer and Stopper

    by ORKA (A03339)

    $6 $4.99
  • Includes one wine pourer/stopper (colors may vary)
  • Flip top to pour without drips
  • Close top to keep wine fresh.
  • Simply rinse clean.
  • Solid silicone spout and seal
  • customer review: This is a very artistic design and does invite some comments. It pours well and is functional. But, it is not a stopper. It leaks a drop every few minutes out of the valve. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed in that, but other here have made that observation as well. Also, be advised that you only get one item, not four as the picture shows. Even though it's nice, I probably won't be getting any more of them.

    Metrokane Houdini Lever-Style Corkscrew, Black

    by Metrokane (2803)

    $39.99 $24.44
  • Innovative engineering from the makers of the Rabbit corkscrew
  • Removes corks in seconds
  • Compatible with wine bottles of all sizes
  • All-metal gears and ergonomic grip; comes with foilcutter
  • 5-year warranty
  • customer review: Let me start by saying that I love rabbit style wine openers. They are the best type for opening and getting the cork off of the corkscrew. This Houdini brand one is not good. It is cheap plastic mostly, with metal for the linear rail and gears. I got one from Christmas 2008 and it broke after the first use.

    I had one like this
RABBIT HEAVY DUTY CORKSCREW - 4 PC. RABBIT HEAVY DUTY CORKSCREW SET
for years. I think I am going to buy that one or one like it as a replacement. It is not branded, but it looks like the one I used to have which was all metal construction.

Cork Pops Legacy Wine Bottle Opener

    by Other

    $28 $19.99
  • Cartridge good for 80 to 100 bottles
  • Built in foil-cutter
  • customer review: I've owned one fo these for years and I'm still on the first cartridge. I've yet to insert the refill cartridge even though I have opened countless bottles of wine. The package says that each cartridge opens 50 bottles. I think I'm beyond that. This is better than a rabbit opener (I have one of those as well). My suggestion is to ease the cork out AS SOON as you depress the cartrdige. When done in one swift motion the cork comes out super fast and without effort. These make fabulous gifts. The refills are avaiable at wine shops also.

    Screwpull Table Model Corkscrew, Black

    $15 $14.99
  • Classic self-pulling corkscrew model delivers excellence for many openings
  • Ergonomic handle
  • Excellent leverage
  • 5 year warranty
  • customer review: What do you get for someone who has everything? A corkscrew that has few moving parts to break and keeps doing the job for years!. We had purchased a screwpull years ago and are pleased with it's consistent trouble free function. The product arrived on time and was priced much lower on Amazon than at a retail store.

    Riedel Bottle Cleaner Beads

    by Riedel (10-05)

    $12 $8.99
  • Bottle cleaner beads by Riedel
  • Crafted of smooth, corrosion-resistant stainless steel
  • Swirl beads in water to gently clean hard-to-reach places
  • Perfect as an add-on gift with glassware and decanters
  • Packaged in a handsome black container with lid; wash by hand
  • customer review: If you can fit marbles into the opening of the decanter they will work also. Concerned about the cleaniless of the marbles? Boil them in water, makes a racket but sterlizes them. You can also at times clean the inside of a bottle with salt (rock salt is better harder and larger) or chips of ice, or get some small pebbles the size of a pea and use them. The ice chips will melt when you shake them around, so you might have to do 2, 3, or 4 rounds of using them but they will clean off the inside of the glass too.

    Riedel Large Microfiber Crystal Cloth

    by Riedel (10-07)

    $16 $12.8
  • Crystal cloth perfect for scratch-free cleanup
  • Measures 27-1/2-inch by 20-inch
  • Features fabric protection for hands
  • Machine wash;lint-free
  • customer review: I work at several wineries and these cloths are an industry standard. They polish all glassware absorbing and leaving no lint. They are the same material used to clean sunglasses so they are designed not to leave even the smallest abrasion.

Fred Bone Chillers Ice Cube Tray

    by Fred (BONEC)

    $6 $4.73
  • Cube tray with pirate and skull shaped themes
  • Made from pure food grade silicone
  • Comes in clear, peggable, recyclable display boxes
  • Safe to use in the dishwasher
  • customer review: I like skulls and when I saw this I just had to get it... In fact, I ordered four! I love these!

The quality of the silicone tray is better than that of the "Ice Stick" trays I bought locally last year (I live in Johannesburg, South Africa).

Fred Frozen Smiles Ice Cube Tray

    by Fred (FRSM)

    $6 $4.49
  • beyond funny
  • customer review: I own several Fred products, so picking up these was an easy choice. I actually bought them with a couple other items that were all on the 4-for-3 promo.

These are very humorous and easy to remove from the mold. I agree that the details melt away rather quickly, but here's what I do that seems to help. After unmolding, I place them on a plate w/ wax paper and put them back in the freezer while I make some more. I do this so there are at least 12-16 and if they have had additional time in the freezer outside of the mold, they do seem to last a bit longer. Also make sure you are using cold beverages to begin with if possible.

If you are looking for more Fred products here are a couple I can recommend:

Vacu Vin Concerto 3-Piece Wine Saver Set

    by Vacu Vin Inc. (989450)

    $29.99 $13.99
  • Pumps air from bottle to keep opened wine fresh up to two weeks
  • Indicator clicks when correct vacuum level is reached
  • Two stoppers and pump store on base
  • Stoppers fit all sizes of wine bottles
  • Pump measures 6 inches high; base is 4-1/2 inches wide
  • customer review: I've been using this fairly consistently for the few weeks since I bought it. Everything works great. It seems to save the quality of the wine well. It does feel the tiniest bit a little cheap on the construction. Nothing has happened, but when I pump the air out of the bottles, the plastic feels a little brittle. But like I said, so far, no problems, does the job, works great, I'm happy.
