customer review: I've used french presses for years. But this news junkie wants more than one cup in the morning and the second cup from a regular press is disappointingly lukewarm. (Nuking it destroys the flavor!) I thought this sleek-looking stainless version might do the trick instead of shifting coffee to a thermos right after making it in the glass press. The claim this press will keep coffee hot for 2 hours is simply preposterous, but I'd take even a half hour. This pretty little gizmo truly doesn't keep the coffee any hotter than a glass carafe, even when you pre-warm it. At $80 it flat out should be a miracle, since you can get a top of the line thermos for less than that. My advice? Save your money and get a regular press.

customer review: Unlike most of the buyers of this carafe, I found it to be a serious disappointment, thanks to a major design flaw. The open-and-close mechanism is a dud. After pushing the handle knob to "open," what I get from the spout is little more than a trickle. Returning any product costing less than $25 is such a hassle that I'll just toss it and eventually buy another one, but a more expensive one from another manufacturer -- and keep my fingers crossed.

customer review: Works as advertised. Button stopper is a great feature. Keeps coffee very hot. Glass liner does not impart any off flavors to beverages. This particular model is a good size for 2-4 people. Great price at Amazon - I checked around. Very happy with purchase.

customer review: This is a well constructed carafe and it looks really nice. However I was looking for a thermal carafe that will keep coffee hot enough to drink for 5 or 6 hours. This will only keep the coffee hot for 1.5 to 2 hours. The problem is that it's stainless steel inside and out, with foam insulation in the middle, but it's not a thermos-type vessel with glass inside and a vaccuum seal between the glass and the outside. I returned this and bought another caraffe that was like a thermos inside and it keeps the coffee really hot for 8 to 10 hours.

customer review: On Friday 12/05/08 the price was $27.24. On Sunday when I checked again, it had shot up to $44.00!! Was going to put this on my wish list for a xmas gift. Now so overpriced its not worth it. Not sure if this is a reflection on Amazon and their new policies. With all the bailouts you would think that prices would be going down or stay within reason, not get overpriced. Thumbs way down and no purchase.

customer review: The pot keeps the water stay hot even over 24 hours, the lever-style pump is a better design than the 2.45 liter air pot. A little inconvenience is the lever switch, you can use it to open up the lever but not to collapse it. You need to close the lid in order to collapse the lever. But I will still give it a five stars, cause it is an excellent product.

customer review: I have had to send back this coffee maker once as the clock did not work properly and the machine gurgled constantly, overflowed and generally made a mess. Received another machine back from Capresso after a hassle and a rude customer service rep. This one is having problems as well. For $180 dollars, Capresso should be making a much better product than this. The Krups we had lasted a long time and was of a better quality than this. Capresso does get kudos for making a machine that brews a superior cup of coffee but the fact that it does not work properly is enough to give it a very poor review. I would think long and hard before buying Capresso ever again.

customer review: I like the looks of this and the ease of cleaning the carafe.I use a small coffeemaker for daily use for myself and use this coffeemaker for my gatherings. My only problem was that after 5 uses with my first carafe(not many coffee drinkers at my get-togethers),the handle just gave way while I was carrying it to the table!! Instead of throwing out the entire coffeemaker and having to buy a new one(just out of warranty) I decided to try again(cautiously). It does keep the coffee hot as long as you turn the top closed and remove it from the "maker".That is an important step!

customer review: I took a chance on this Carafe because I liked its looks and the price. I gave it to my daughter for Christmas and she is thrilled with it. This was my first purchase on Amazon and I am completely happy with the service and will do more buying on this site. The Carafe is even more attractive than the picture of it. Sorry that I can't be funny but I am more than satisfied. Anyone that wants a really attractive Carafe should go for this one.

customer review: Excellent product. I was targeting the duel coffe pot with a non-glass caraff and found the Krupps. It has stainless steel caraffs, which keeps coffee hot for hours. Coffee maker is easy to pour, no drips and easy to use and clean. Overall we are very happy with our choice and Amazon was able locate me the best price on the internet.
